Sonar works like radar, except it uses sound rather than radio waves.
Sonar is an acronym for Sound Navigation and Ranging. It locates an object and measures its distance through echoes. It has been used at sea to find hidden obstacles and
in war to find submarines.
In nature it’s called Echolocation. It’s used by mammals and birds, in the air and water. It’s used not only to find prey, but to warn of danger. With some it’s so sophisticated that
it can identify the shape, motion, and size of an object.
Two kinds of sonar are passive and active. Passive simply listens for signals given by an object. Active sends out signal, then listens for echoes.
SONARconnects is an active participator in the marketing process. We start by getting inside the customers’ minds. Then we give out messages, then we listen, then we react. We make noise and are a presence in the local community.
